EXPIERENCE: I have spent over a year working as a support worker, drawing from my personal experiences to enhance my professional capabilities. My younger brother, who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), has provided me with invaluable insights into the daily challenges faced by individuals with similar conditions. This firsthand experience enables me to assist clients not only with their everyday needs but also in accessing community resources that can enrich their lives. I firmly believe in a person-centred approach, which prioritizes the unique goals and aspirations of each individual. My dedication to fostering independence and dignity in those I support motivates me to strive for excellence in my role. Throughout the past year, I have developed a diverse skill set that equips me to address a wide range of needs, including those related to Global Developmental Delay (GDD), Intellectual Disabilities (ID), and speech delays, among others. My ability to connect with clients on a personal level stems from my compassionate nature, which helps create a safe and trusting environment conducive to open communication.
