EXPIERENCE: I have been working in the disability support sector for around one year and have experience supporting people with a wide range of disabilities, health conditions and support needs. This includes acquired brain injury, bipolar disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder (Levels 1–2), ADHD, intellectual disability, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, vision and hearing impairment, physical disability, PDA and ARFID.
I provide person-centred support that reflects each person’s individual needs, preferences, communication style and goals. I understand the importance of being patient, flexible and adapting my approach so participants feel comfortable, respected and supported. I enjoy helping people build independence through everyday activities, community access, social connection, emotional regulation and skill development.
As an autistic person myself, I also bring lived experience and a personal understanding of neurodiversity and the challenges that can come with environments not always being accommodating. This, alongside my professional experience, has strengthened my empathy and ability to build genuine connections.
I’m passionate about creating a safe, inclusive and non-judgemental space where people feel heard, valued and empowered. I take the time to build trust and recognise that every person is different.
