EXPERIENCE: I have over five years of experience working in person-centred support roles, including four years within the early childhood education sector and one year providing youth residential support. Throughout my career, I have developed extensive experience supporting children and young people with a broad range of disabilities, developmental differences, mental health conditions, and complex behavioural support needs. My experience includes supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), other neurodivergent conditions, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), depression, selective mutism, non-verbal communication, and a variety of social, emotional, and behavioural challenges. My responsibilities have included providing personal care while maintaining privacy and dignity, implementing structured daily routines, supporting emotional regulation, responding to and managing behaviours of concern using positive behaviour support strategies, encouraging independence in daily living skills, facilitating meaningful community participation, and building trusting relationships. I am passionate about creating safe, inclusive, and empowering environments where individuals feel valued, respected, and supported to reach their full potential. My approach is centred on promoting choice, independence, confidence, and meaningful participation while ensuring supports are delivered with empathy, professionalism, and a strong commitment to person-centred care.
