EXPIERENCE: I possess extensive experience working with children aged 15 years and younger, complemented by over two decades of expertise in supporting children with special needs within a school setting. My background includes aiding individuals with a range of disabilities, including but not limited to ASD, ADHD, diabetes, PDA and cerebral palsy. This diverse experience has equipped me with the skills necessary to understand and address the unique challenges faced by each child, ensuring that they receive the tailored support they require to thrive. In addition to my professional experience, I have also taken on the role of caregiver for my grandmother, where I assisted her with various daily activities such as social outings, shopping, medical appointments, house cleaning, meal preparation, and medication management. This personal experience has deepened my understanding of the importance of compassionate care and the need for emotional support in maintaining the well-being of older adults. My ability to connect with individuals across different age groups has allowed me to build strong relationships, fostering trust and open communication. Furthermore, I bring lived experience in supporting individuals with mental health challenges, which has enhanced my ability to navigate suitable support systems effectively. My skill set is characterized by a person-centred approach, allowing me to multitask while providing high-level emotional support. I am dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment for participants, ensuring that their needs are met with empathy and professionalism. My commitment to fostering positive relationships and my comprehensive understanding of both developmental and mental health issues make me an asset as a support worker, capable of making a meaningful difference in the lives of those I assist.
